So, everyone was calling me. If we talked 20 years ago, LMAO, I was open game for their prospecting.

Oh, at the pitches! As I would listen to the, I would think, how could I approach this? I had a lady from Mary Kay approach me. I worked in my agency. I was a “suit” girl. Long hair that took hours to fix, make-up, the whole package. So, Mary Kay, hmmmm. I knew other professionals like me, so this made sense. I was in. Not sure how, but in. I got my kit and figured out my “colors” and was so pumped. I was back in the game.

So, I put on my Mary Kay and went to my office. I found myself in the hospital by lunch.

I had a rash and was freaking out. I thought I had caught something, but they determined I was allergic to the make-up. Oh, crap on a cracker! Not even one day in and now I am out! I was beginning to wonder if I should even try! I love Mary Kay and the beethey had me at that bee story! To this very day, I love the bee so much more and my flower beds always have plants that consider their survival. I can’t help it…. I love to serve! It brings me more joy than I can give away!

Why is it that MLM gives us this extra “charge”? After all, I had my own agency! I mean, I was my own boss and had no limits on my income. And, yet, it didn’t have the same energy as MLM! Why? I will dive into that topic later (it is an interesting one to say the least!).

Sorry, I got sidetracked there! HA! I do that from time to time. I hope you guys are enjoying my rambling. It is nice to just chat with you every day! I would love to have some claps to show that you are enjoying. If not, maybe send me a message and tell me what you would like to see more or less of!

I mean, this blogging is new to me. It isn’t like the books I have written. It is more like a casual conversation. And I am having fun! I love sharing my trials with you. The point you ask…to make sure that you can jump over….no, fly over…the crap that I had to stomp through to get to these lessons I share.

They are so simple and yet, overlooked daily in the MLM market.

Fast forward to…drum roll….#6…

Ah — #6. Did you know that the average person joins 4–7 MLM companies before they find success? Well, I was determined to make #6 work. It fit right with my agency. No make up or supplements or any of that, no sir, no ma’am! This time it was a logical product, and I knew I would slay this one! I went in and studying everything about the comp plan, the product, how it worked, why it worked, what it did. I got all the technical stuff figured out. I was ready to rock the world! Ninja mode activated!

And boy did I rock it! Within 3 months I was making as much in the MLM as I was at my agency…without the overhead and staff! I had a solid team and wanted to expand it bigger. I came up with a recruiting genius plan. Tested it and, Houston, we had lift off! I recruited 40 people in one month and jetted past the person who sponsored me in the business. Now, this comp plan gave anyone in the downline 6 months to catch up and pass whomever they recruited, or they lost the sales volume from that leg.

I say this because it is a logical sense on the company side. It prevented someone from joining, doing the minimums without truly supporting their team, and being able to reap the benefits of a rocket downline. It forced them to work in the business and constantly sell and recruit. And, although this sounds like common sense, there are many big players who will recruit and then do nothing with their team. They find someone who will lead and let them!

So, I pass my sponsor, and his sponsor. Now I have no help or guidance. I am a ship in the middle of this ocean with no other vessels in site. I had the top leader in the company reach out to me…what are you doing and will you share?

Of course, I will share! I am teaching to my team; I can teach to yours. I had a ship near me. And it grew. All the leaders that wanted their teams to grow started reaching out to me. I had developed a system that grew all our businesses. I started charging a fee to be in my inner circle. I had to have staff to keep up with all that we were doing online and so forth.

I quit the agency. I was making more in one month in my MLM than I was in 6 at the agency! Plus, it was a lot more fun! I did the parts of things I loved and delegated the things I did not like. Dan (my hubby) loved to do things I didn’t, so he helped a great deal. We hired my mom to do a lot of the subscription admin because she loved to do that and wanted some extra cash too. She was not a salesperson but loved doing tasks.

The business grew and I was in the top of the producers. We went to conference. The company talked about expansion and all the lights and speakers and….BAM! My fire was so tall, you could see it from space. We were paying off debt. All the vehicles, paid. New boat, paid. One of the duplexes, paid. Credit cards, paid. New hot tub, paid. In-law suite added on to house, paid. Mom moved in with us to help her out…check. New car for her, paid. Daughter getting ready to get license….used car for her, paid. Remodeling done of both duplexes…paid. We were on a roll and within another year, our business would have all the properties paid off and then we would focus on retirement funding. I was good with 4 rentals. They can be a hassle, so I didn’t want any more.

Then it happened…I went to my home office with my coffee in hand. I opened my email to see the end of my life pop up. Wait, what??? I mean, this can’t be, right?

Mind Blown!!!

I have to give you the 🤫“dirty secret” I promised and the golden nugget

Here is my golden nugget for the day…A lot of you are struggling with the daily schedule, so here is a better way to do this. Get a paper, when you do something, write down a start time, what you did and how long you spent on it. I realize today is New Years Eve. However, reflect on your typical week. I have a ton of “fires” that I have to deal with every day, it seems. So I always give myself a “fire drill” space in my calendar. Do you have a set schedule? I think of it like this…from 6am — 7am I am drinking coffee, eating breakfast and working on my blog. From 7am — 7:30am — scan FB, 7:30am — 8:00am — go over all the tasks that need to get done that are left unfinished, 8am — 10am — write content topics or content or work on book (depending on the day of the week). You get the idea. I know it sounds rigid….it is! There is a reason for this because you will get more done in 30 minutes than you would typically in 2 hours when you are laser focused. Now, get this done! I am going to give you ideas on this for a few days because you need to have this take completed before we hit the weeks end! I have a big project that adds to this nugget!

Time saver tips for the day — How is the perfect customer going? I am going to suggest of a dream board. I know some of you hate these and some love them. However, you can make a collage on your computer now and it is so easy! Find images on google that have things that your perfect customer thinks about. Every time you think of something newgrab an image and put in on the board. I PROMISE this will help you always keep a better picture of what that looks like so you can get more accomplished. When you aim at a target, you are more likely, with time, to hit it. If you just shoot in all directions, you will never hit anything!

Yes- Word tip notes are coming. But it is New Years Eve and it has been an insane year for us all. I know many of you won’t want to deal with business, we are keeping tasks light the rest of the week. Baby tasks, and we will tackle this topic next week! 👍

Use this to create an amazing fb cover or IG cover. Post have templates in various social platforms too. If you don’t use this, YOU NEED TO!

These next few days will be light on the tools and such because I realize many of you are not in the “business mode!”
