Ecosystem and Time Management?
First lets try to figure out the word SYSTEM!
You see, I tried to figure out a way to make this MLM work. A way that was different from the “pretend to be friends movement” everyone was signing into. Post this and share that. Push it to all your friends. But was that really working or did people just buy to get them off their back? I mean, we have talked about this in so many discussions! The way to get a MLM’er to leave you alone is to join their team or buy. Although, when you buy, they will probably still hound you to join!
I am not a pioneer in trying to figure it out. But I am a pioneer in research! Does it mean I find the things first, no! Honestly, finding them first means you still have to see if they will even work for you. What I do know is that I am glad I found it and see business in a very different light now. I know that I can have people asking me to be a part of my team rather than me seeing if they fog a mirror.
Let’s face it, the “friends” approach is the same as going to someone in the checkout line and saying -omg, you would be so good for my team, you should join! And that person could be a serial killer! Seriously! It is insane to build a business with the fog test!
Can you fog a mirror? Or, your heart is beating….Oh, YOU are perfect for my team! I know you will be a great fit! How many times have you pitched like this? How many times where you pitched like this? What did it feel like?
How insane is that?
And, yet people are doing the same concepts on line. The difference is we can look at a profile of someone and see a few pictures and posts they have made. It is still the same. The best practice is to build solid. Your dream customer is going to wanting to do more. You will want to keep serving on a higher level. If you are serving people just to try to make money, the money will stop flowing and you will want to quit!
I enjoy writing to you daily. Will I keep this up the rest of my life, maybe and maybe not. But, I am serving now and it makes me happy to share stories and lessons. My prayer is that you get something from each post. I hope that it assures you that you are doing nothing wrong with your thoughts. I hope you see that the MLM road is not always make-up and glam and stages and rank advancement.
There are struggles, there are challenges, there is pain and there is joy. There are moments when you want to kick a wall and other times you want to get on the roof and yell — YEESSSSSSS!!!!
In the end, you have to ethically get there. I don’t know that pretending to friend someone on FB is truly ethical. For me, it was not. I know I talked to a lot of people and the truth, I could care less about their lives. Not that I was being mean, but when you get to almost 3000 “friends” it is super hard to really know them all. I would block out 1 hour for FB in the morning (just fb, right!?!!). I can remember many days when I only got through the “happy birthdays” and I honestly didn’t care if it was their birthday or knew how old 90% of the even turned, if not for FB showing me!
I am not trying to be mean, I am sharing so you don’t feel guilty if you have tried this path and hated it as much as me! I have a girl in the company that is so nice and she is doing well with this method. She started doing this in another company. I just struggle with it. I have always struggled with asking strangers to be on my team. It is not that I am shy, it is more that I am selective. I have had a team of hundreds and the majority of them did nothing! I would rather have 10 people kicking butt than 100 doing nothing! I want my time to be used to its fullest. I know that when I train people that come to me, wanting to be a part of my team, it changes the dynamics. However, we have to create the ecosystem we want. This is a huge topic! We will take baby steps on how to get there, but it is critical for long term stability in your business. It is critical for time management and systems. It is critical for training too!
Getting a system that works for you is critical. Of course, we have our challenge going to give you just that, a marketing system!
As far as the ecosystem part of this whole thing, it is what we teach and drill into you. I want you to think about this…what would happen if your Facebook account was wiped out today? Gone, no where to be found….do you have a back up?
